To tie in with the Weimar (1913-1933) season at BFI Southbank and our feature in our current issue relating to it, we have a set of ten classic films on Blu-ray to give away to one lucky winner.
The bundle courtesy of Eureka consists of some of the most iconic films made at this important cultural time in European history. The Blue Angel, Metropolis, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Nosferatu, Dr. Mabuse, M, Diary of a Lost Girl, Madame Dubarry, Variety and Destiny, all from Eureka’s Master of Cinema series, are included in the prize.
The discs (several of which are dual-format editions) include a variety of special features including video essays, audio commentary, film scores, trailers and more.
Eureka Entertainment also have a selection of their films to celebrate the centenary of the Weimar Republic available on Blu-ray and DVD on offer via their online store.
The Blue Angel is re-released in selected cinemas on Friday 31 May, as part of the two-month BFI retrospective Beyond Your Wildest Dreams: Weimar Cinema 1919-1933. Read much more about it in the June 2019 special issue of Sight & Sound.
The competition closes on Thursday 13 June 2019 and is open to UK residents only.
