Raphael Smith is a screenwriter based in London. In 2004, he was nominated for a BAFTA for his short film Sea Monsters. He wrote the screenplay for Sidney Turtlebaum (2008) starring Derek Jacobi, which was nominated for best short film at the 2009 British Independent Film Awards and shortlisted for an Academy Award. He is currently working on a stage musical set in 1950s London.
