Patricio Guzmán

Patricio Guzmán is a Chilean documentary film director best known for his remembrances of the fate of his homeland in the wake of its 1973 military coup – including The Battle of Chile, Chile, Obstinate Memory, The Pinochet Case, Salvador Allende and Nostalgia for the Light. He now lives in France.

He also teaches documentary film classes in Europe and Latin America, and is the founder and director of the International Documentary Festival of Santiago (FIDOCS).
