Ann Pettifor is an economist who focuses on international financial architecture, the sovereign debts of the poorest countries and the rise in sovereign, corporate and private debt in OECD economies. She led the Jubilee 2000 campaign for poor-world debt cancellation, and is now a director of the PRIME (Policy Research in Macroeconomics) network, Honorary Research Fellow at City University Political Economy Research Centre, fellow of the New Economics Foundation, director of Advocacy International and advistor to the Labour Party.
She is the author of The Coming First World Debt Crisis (Palgrave, 2006) and Just Money: How Society Can Break the Despotic Power of Finance (Commonwealth, 2014) and co-author of The Green New Deal (2008). She blogs at debtonation.org and tweets at @AnnPettifor.
