No critical judgement at all in my selection, just guilty pleasures of the sofa. How would I choose a top ten paintings? No idea – Masaccio or Matisse or Pollock? Ugh! Regrets: no Cassavetes, Fassbinder, Rafelson, Fellini, Antonioni, Godard, Sirk or Ophüls – but in the Grand National many great horses fall at the early fences. Perhaps in a decade, when I have grown up.
