Comments

Ten breathtaking films that make your heart go faster. Langsamer Sommer is the only film on the list that may not be commonly known and thus warrants a brief comment. It was made by John Cook, a young Canadian in Vienna, and his friends. Shot on Super 8 in colour and blown up to 35mm black and white, it’s a triumph over all budgetary and technical constraints – and, like all great films, one of its kind.
