Comments
An agonising task, here are ten films that have affected me deeply on each and every viewing. Choosing ten is brutal, given that we have 60 more years of cinematic richness to draw on than when the poll was initiated. I can’t believe I’m submitting a list with so many of my favourite filmmakers absent from it, nor that I’ve failed to stick to my intention to feature more recent titles.
