Synopsis

Police corruption drama. In Uttar Pradesh, in rural India, two young women are found hanged and a third has gone missing. Policeman Ayan Ranjan, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer who has been sent from Delhi to the village of Lalgaon, investigates, and comes up against a wall of obfuscation from fellow policemen, who swiftly write it off as a case of honour killings. But Ranjan discovers evidence that the girls were gang-raped and that the son of a powerful politician was involved. He goes undercover and finds that politics and the caste system are interlinked, and when he is removed from the case he carries on investigating and finds that senior police figures are involved in the crimes too. He enlists the help of the 'lower' caste members to help find the missing girl.
