Synopsis
Documentary about the grief of parents. In 2011, husband and wife Jimmy Edmonds, a filmmaker who won a BAFTA for 'Chosen (True Stories)' in 2009, and Jane Harris, a qualified psychotherapist, learnt that their son Josh Edmonds had died in a road accident on the Ho Chi Minh Highway, south of Hanoi, in Vietnam. They travel to where Josh died, experiencing and contemplating their deep grief, and then take a road trip across the USA where they meet other parents who have lost a child: Kim Garrison and Traci Okelley (in Georgia), Denise and Dale Martinez (in California), Gayle Rose (in Tennessee), Daniel, Kelly and Taylor Anglin (in New Mexico) and Duffy and Denise St Pierre (in Louisiana). They find that as grief is love for those who have died, it can become powerful, positive and life-enhancing.
