Synopsis

Following the September 11 attacks, a United States special operations unit led by Captain Mitch Nelson is selected to undertake a covert and extremely dangerous mission in Taliban-held Afghanistan. The team of 12 soldiers are dropped into a remote area of northern Afghanistan, where they must convince General Abdul Rashid Dostum to join them in the fight against the Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies. In addition to overcoming mutual distrust, the Americans must adopt the unfamiliar tactics of the Afghan horse soldiers. But after forming an uneasy bond with Dostum’s forces, Nelson and his men find themselves outnumbered and outgunned by the Taliban.
