"The ticking pattern of a clock is perceived subjectively - it can be heard as 'tick-tock/tick-tock' or 'tick-tock-tick/tick-tock-tick' etc. The camera pans backwards and forwards across a metronome running at two beats per second, establishing various rhythms of movement. The film was intended primarily as an experiment into how these camera movements could affect the perception of sound rhythms." from Luxonline website
