Documentary filmed over a period of five years that follows the ‘travelling talkies’ of India’s Maharashtra region, who have been touring their travelling cinemas from village to village for over 70 years. The film focusses on Akshay Touring Pictures run by Bapu and Sumedh Touring Pictures which is owned by Mohamed, observing the daily challenges of keeping the cinemas operating that include ageing celluloid projectors, the rise of digital formats, and the growing popularity of television.
