In 2012, the Ivy House pub in Nunhead was sold to property developers despite the opposition of the local community who objected to the ongoing gentrification of south London. The film follows the pubs customers and staff as they succeed in saving the Ivy House from closure, while also using dance, poetry and song to explore issues around memory, community, social reinvention and the question of what it is to be a ‘regular’ or a ‘local’.
