Synopsis

Documentary film based around the director's investigation in the BP archive. Beginning with her research around her late parents’ involvement with the Anglo Iranian Oil Companys, a distraction is provided by the letters of a petroleum geologist in Iran the 1930’s, who began a search for the origins of civilisation. The personal stories revealed by the archive contribute to an emerging narrative of colonalism.
