Synopsis

A documentary concerning a series of nationally televised debates in 1968 in the USA between Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley Jr. in which the liberal views of one spar with the conservative views of the other. The film considers the lives and works of these men and asks why debates of this calibre are now absent form American television.
