Synopsis
Documentary. In the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Ben Johnson won the gold medal in the 100m in the world record time of 9.79 seconds. But he was later disqualified after testing positive for banned substances and the gold medal was awarded to Carl Lewis. All eight athletes who competed in the final and a number of other contemporaries reconstruct the race and the climate of the times, reflecting on a period when steroid abuse was prevalent in athletics.
