Synopsis

Drama. An Australian couple, Fiona and Ben, seek to give their lives meaning and repair their relationship by adopting a child in India. However, things do not run smoothly, with their luggage being mislaid and strains reappearing as they are subject to further bureaucratic delays after two years of waiting and the appearance of a female musician friend from Ben's past. Further heartbreak ensues when they arrive at the orphanage to find the child they wish to adopt, Lakshmi, is seriously ill. Fiona and Ben are brought back together by their concern for the child.
