Drama about Japanese emigrants to Brazil in search of a better life. Sequel to GAIJIN - CAMINHOS DA LIBERDADE. It is now 1935 and Titoe has a daughter Shinobu, but still has not enough money to enable her to return to Japan. The advent of the Second World War has further consequences. Then the grandchildren Kazumi and Maria arrive. Maria moves in with Gabriel (a gaijin), son of a Spanish father and Italian mother. When his business does not go well and he is made bankrupt, Gabriel sets out for Kobe in Japan with the intention of working there temporarily in order to send money back to the family back in Brazil.
