Synopsis
Drama. The Whitfield family celebrate their first holiday together in four years over Christmas at the home of their mother Ma'Dear. This year, everyone seems to have a secret or a surprise. Jazz musician Quentin is on the run from debt collectors. Married mother of two Lisa, influenced by her schemeing husband Malcolm, argues that they should sell the family laundry business. Marine Claude has work and private matters to reveal and conceal, while Mel brings her boyfriend Devean home from college. When the siblings visit a club the night before Christmas Eve, Michael takes unexpectedly to the stage and Kelli hooks up with a firefighter for the night. Meanwhile, Ma'Dear is wondering whether to tell her children the truth about her relationship with their absent father and with the local deacon, Joe Black.
