Synopsis

Drama, set in Wiley, Texas during the 1930s. The true story of the attempts of coach Melvin B. Tolson at the black Wiley College to place his team on the same level as white people in the American south, where lynch mobs were still present. The Wiley team is ultimately successful to the point at which they are able to take part in a contest with Harvard University.
