Comedy, drama. Juno is a sixteen year old who discovers that her only venture into adolescent sex has left her pregnant. The father of the child, Paulie, responds to the news with a stoic passivity that makes irritates Juno. Her best friend, Leah, consoles her and convinces Juno to tell her parents. They take the news in the best possible way, especially when Juno proposes that she wants to have the baby and place it with another family via private adoption. Through an advert in the local paper, Juno meets Vanessa and Mark, a childless hopeful couple who seems to fit the bill. Bonding with Mark through music, Juno unwittingly steps into the emotional battleground of the couple's relationship, and events take a completely unexpected turn.
