Psychological drama. Simon is a psychologist who is employed by a Parisian petrochemical subsidiary of a German multinational SC Farb. His managing director asks him to undertake a pyschological profile of the company's general manager. In the process, Simon uncovers the history of the company's past during World War II and its disturbing connections with the Nazis and the holocaust. He begins to question his role in the company as he is in charge of human resources responsible for hiring new employees as well as laying off staff. His perceptions change as he reflects on the structure of big businesses within society and the equivalent of fascism today as he starts to think about the people he is "discarding" in the name of business efficiency.
