Synopsis

Family film. Patrick is a bit of a loner who spends time with an elderly blues player, Mr Jones but keeps it a secret because his parents don't really approve. Patrick finds an injured racehorse, and is encouraged by Mr Jones to enter the State Cup Steeplechase. Mr Jones dies before the race but Patrick wins the silver trophy. Issues of addiction, family problems and prejudice are tackled in this story of the healing of emotions.
