Synopsis

Looks at the rise of Jim Jones, his beliefs, philosophies, and following, as well as his own background and psychology. Follows the growth of the Peoples Temple and its eventual relocation to Guyana in 1977. Also looks at the mass forced suicide of hundreds of his followers, including interviews with ex-Temple members, and victims' relatives. Also includes footage shot during the last few days at Guyana.
