Synopsis
Drama based on a true story. The film depicts the life of a Korean woman who has been adopted by a family in Sweden. Abused by them, she attempts to commit suicide, eventually leaving home and ending up a single mother with a mixed race daughter. A Korean television team, making a documentary on adopted Koreans asks Susanne to participate and she agrees. In the process, she travels to Korea for the first time in twenty years and traces her Korean mother. The Korean folksong Arirang that Susanne plays and sings on the piano is considered to be the unofficial national anthem of Korea and most represen- tative of Korean folk songs.
