Synopsis

Housewife Imane lives with her taxi driver husband and two children, as well as looking after Joumana, the daughter of a brother in prison for being involved in pro-democracy politics. However, she begins to suffer from the interference of her uncle Sobhi, who believes her husband allows her too much freedom and that her walking unaccompanied in the streets and love of singing are highly suspect and that she is up to no good, He takes Joumana away to live with Imane's parents and spies on her.
