Drama set in a contemporary village in Haryana which is still steeped in the traditions of a feudal society. The story focuses on the problems faced by women in a male dominated society with double standards. Urmi is a newly wed young bride who is left behind to stay with her husband Arvind's family after marriage whilst he returns to his job in Calcutta. He promises to take her along the next time but that never happens. Eventually Urmi is caught up in the family and village gossip and conspiracies when her husband's cousin Inder falls in love with her and wants to marry her and take her away but backs out at the last minute. Made in Haryanvi (language of Haryana state in India).
