Synopsis
Thriller. Jacob is glad when his suicidal depressive sister Julie meets kind and gentle Anker Jensen and the two announce they are to marry. However, shortly after the wedding, Julie is found dead with her wrists cut, seemingly having committed suicide. Her brother becomes suspicious when he learns that Anker may have been widowed before, and he tracks him down to Anker's hometown of Morke. There he discovers that Anker is already engaged to another handicapped and vulnerable woman, and he stays in the area, partly through suspicion and partly because he finds himself attracted to the sister of the new fiancée.
