Synopsis

Fantasy tale for children based on the Gujerati fable 'Bakasur' set in a mythical Indian kingdom and featuring a sleeping giant who awakes to eat children. Given contemporary treatment, it seemingly resembles Jonathan Swift's 'Gulliver's Travels' as the story revolves around Aditya from Mumbai, who is shipwrecked and washed up onto the shores of Shundi, a mystical island in the Arabian Sea, inhabited by tiny people. Afraid of the 'giant' Aditya, their army chief Chattan Singh, orders his men to tie up the intruder. Aditya eventually wins their trust by saving them from the gigantic cannibal Jhamunda, who is actually a slave of the evil Chattan Singh.
