Synopsis

Rukshana Jamal is a playback singer, with conflicting goals: she wants to make hit records, as well as maintain her career in films, but in trying to balance the two, she seems to neglect her two daughters Tehzeeb and Nazneen. Tehzeeb nurses a grudge against her mother as she suspects her to be responsible for the death of her father Anwar. Tehzeeb marries Salim, a writer and settles down with him at a hill station, together with her mentally challenged younger sister Nazneen. It is when Rukhsana decides to visit them for a few days, that the tension between them finally resurfaces.
