Father Hope is an unusual priest - bad at respecting rules and uncomfortable in the powerful hierarchy of the church. That's why his superiors have sent him away to a small southern Italian city. But he's immediately hard at work, struggling to give moral and spiritual guidance to prisoners in the local juvenile reformatory. For these forgotten children, their pastor becomes a mentor, a source of inspiration. He's their 'Father Hope', willing to fight for them with all his strength and against all the odds. Nino is a 16 year-old boy sentenced to the detention center for petty theft. A broken child - mentally weak and physically feeble, he seems incapable of committing a serious crime. But when another young prisoner is found dead in the reformatory, Nino is accused. All the evidence seems to prove his guilt. But Father Hope doesn't buy the official story, and launches his own investigation. Suddenly, he finds himself up against the local organized crime network. Father Hope's dedication finally leads him to the real assassin; the brother of a local crime boss. He had murdered the victim to settle a vendetta within the organization. Having put himself in such great danger, Father Hope is overjoyed to clear Nino's name. In the process, he finds that he has also given the young convicts a new faith in justice and the hope of a better future.
