The over 7,000 islands that forms the Philippines originally contained lush rainforests and abundant marine resources. A rapidly growing population has now taken most of the fish, most of the rainforest, and occupies virtually all the land. Visits one island, Leyte, where environmental rehabilitation schemes like `rainforestation' are trying to recapture paradise.
