Synopsis

Examines the arguments in support of the use of biotechnology to increase food production in Africa set against the concerns of those who claim it is too early to know what the long-term effects of genetically-modified crops will be. The benefits are viewed with more favour and far less scepticism in Africa than in the well-fed West.
