Chinese Coffee (2000)

Film details

Drama. Having been dismissed from his job as a doorman, Harry Levine visits his friend Jake in Greenwich Village one February evening. Harry is annoyed to find that Jake has not yet read the manuscript of his new book. However, as the narrative unfolds, it transpires that Jake has indeed read the manuscript and is of the opinion Harry should try something else for a living. Underlying Jake's attitude is the real reason he is angry; Jake feels that Harry has used intimate details of Jake's private life for the narrative of his book.
