Community and Politics (2000)

Film details

Synopsis

According to the programme's comprehensive poll, modern Britons trust their neighbours less, fear crime more and think the country is heading in the wrong direction. With increasing numbers spending time alone in single-dwelling households or at home on their computers, Michael Buerk asks whether we're seeing the end of community as we know it - or the emergence of new forms, fit for a 21st century.
