Synopsis
Drama. Over the course of three seasons, from summer to winter, the narrative charts the downward spiral of four characters who fall prey to drugs. An elderly woman, Sara Goldfarb, watches game shows most of the day. When she learns that she is to be a contestant on one particular show, she embarks on a drastic diet with the aid of drugs that soon she is completely reliant upon. Her son, Harry, is looking for some drugs to sell, along with his partner, Tyrone. They manage to obtain a pound of cocaine, and decide to sample the drugs, although they are not addicts; however, they soon become hooked, along with Harry's girlfriend, Marion.
