A Gentleman of Leisure (1915)

Film details

Robert Pitt, due to lack of space in first-class, travels to America with immigrants on the lower deck. On board he sees Molly Creedon, one of the first-class passengers, but due to on board regulations he cannot meet her until they are both in New York. Teaming up with a burglar, Robert enters Molly's father's house. They are caught but Molly's father, a Deputy Police Commissioner, accepts a bribe to hush up the incident. Robert later uses this incident to secure his partners release, and the story ends with Robert and Molly marrying, and Molly's father vowing never again to accept bribes.
