Thriller. Based on the real life struggle of the controversial film director Herbert Biberman who together with his wife Gale Sondergaard refused to name names and stood by their communist beliefs in the face of the McCarthy led blacklist. Biberman was cited for contempt of Congress and sentenced to prison in Arkansas.
