Synopsis
Drama. Novalee Nation is a young girl who has led an unstable life. At the age of 17, and pregnant, she finds herself heading towards Tennessee with her boyfriend. Unfortunately he leaves her stranded in Oklahoma, at a WalMart supermarket. Novalee gives birth at the store and becomes a minor celebrity as a result. With the help of some older women, Sister Husband and Lexie, Novalee manages to put some stability back in her life, and begins a tentative friendship with Forney, a librarian. However, her ex-boyfriend has become a successful country singer, and the scene is set for a reunion.
