Adventure. In China in 1881, Princess Pei Pei is about to enter into an arranged marriage. She escapes the wedding by running off with her American tutor, Andrews. Chon Wang, one of the Imperial guards, is unable to stop her departure, but things turn sour for the Princess when Andrews turns out not to be what he seems and she finds herself held for ransom in Carson City. When Chon and three other guards set out on a train journey to deliver the ransom money, a gang of robbers led by Roy O'Bannon robs the train. A fight ensues, with Chon's uncle being shot, and Chon and Roy eventually finding themselves unlikely allies in the fight to save Princess Pei Pei.
