Pollock (2000)

Film details

Biographical drama. The life and works of abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock. Pollock had severe drinking problems during his adult life, exacerbated by his bitterness that the art world appeared to appreciate European painters rather than his own work. He married Lee Krasner in 1945 and appeared to settle down to a more peaceful life in a Long Island community, but remained frustrated at the lack of success and recognition in his career. Pollock died in 1956 as a result of a car accident.
