Musical drama. A young mute girl, India, is a dancer who teaches young schoolchildren the art of movement. She is managed by her brother, Jasper. India regularly wins local dance contests near her home in Brooklyn, but when she auditions for a Broadway show and gives her name in sign language she is dismissed because the director feels she will slow down rehearsals. However, a young scientist, Isaac, is inspired by India to invent a device which may be able to translate India's movements into sound.
