Film details


Based on the novel by Susanna Kaysen. Set in the late 1960s, about a young girl from a middle-class home who, suffering from depression after finishing school, attempts suicide. She is diagnosed as having a `borderline personality disorder' and is sent by her family to a psychiatric hospital, where she encounters a group of even more troubled young women, including a sociopath, a compulsive liar, a daddy's girl with an eating disorder and a burns-victim.
