Comedy. The 'three strikes' of the title refer to a law in California that requires anyone convicted of a third felony to be sentenced to 25 years. Rob Douglas is a recently released convict who is determined to go straight, having served two sentences. Unfortunately on the day of his release Rob is picked up by a friend who is driving a stolen car. While the police chase his friend, who has opened fire on them, Rob manages to escape, but finds himself the target of a manhunt. His situation is not helped by the constant broadcasting on television of a video of the shooting which clearly shows his face.
