Synopsis
The city of Taipei is suffering from an epidemic, possibly caused by disease-carrying cockroaches. In an apartment block a man lives above a woman. When a plumber comes to mend a leak, he leaves a hole in the ceiling. Bugs fall from the hole into the woman's flat below and she retreats more and more into herself. At the same time the man becomes interested in her life, watching through the hole between their apartments. The story is interrupted by song-and-dance numbers mimed to Grace Chang recordings.
