Synopsis

Architecture student Estela's plans for improving Havana's housing supply are met with indifference from the bureaucrats in charge. This coupled with a Stalinist father constantly arguing with a religious brother finally sends Estela over the edge, and she attempts suicide. She ends up in hospital where she meets hospital nurse Ernesto, and finds the romance of her life.
