Film details

Third part of a nine part drama series. Mary and Tosker's marriage is falling apart as is their dream flat, which is riddled with damp, crumbling and insanitary. Geordie is now a successful porn merchant and his life would be perfect except he has dangerously fallen in love with Benny's mistress. Nicky turns to the anarchist movement. He has a disastrous night out in a local restaurant with Mary and Tosker, who have nothing in common with his politics or attitudes, or those of his radical middle-class girlfriend who Mary and Tosker find condescending. When Eddie asks Nicky to hand over the documents which will prove Donohue and Hutchings acted illegally he refuses and heads for London. Tosker loses his job at a factory when the company have to lay off men after having to curtail their illegal exports to Rhodesia at a time of sanctions. He goes to London to visit Geordie and thoroughly enjoys the world in which Geordie inhabits. Barratt takes a shine to him and makes sure he has money and is well entertained.
