Rude (1995)

Film details

Three entirely separate storylines unfold in the same inner-city area of Toronto over the course of one Easter weekend. Maxine, a succesful window-dresser, battles with depression following an abortion and the loss of her lover. Jordan, a promising boxer, has to fight inner conflict after giving-in to peer pressure and participating in a gay-bashing. The General, a former drug dealer but also talented painter, tries to resist temptations and break with his past. This triptych of characters, all struggling for redemption in their own way, is bound together by the voice of Rude, a mystical DJ on the local pirate radio station.
