Courage under Fire (1996)

Film details


Set in 1991 during the Gulf War, deals with the difficulty in establishing the truth about heroism in combat. Under darkness and in the chaos of battle, Nathaniel Serling gives an order to fire on a tank which turns out to be one of his own, resulting in the death of several of his men. Pending a secret investigation, he is assigned to a desk job and a review of a woman who is a posthumous candidate for a Medal of Honour. Serling is faced with evidence of courage in others and realises the importance of integrity and the need to tell the truth about his own tragic mistake.
