Synopsis

Philip operates the Venice, California, help line Livesavers. The landlord wants them out unless they can organize a lot of money. Unfortunately, the crew could stand a little bit of counselling. Widow Blanche and repressed Catherine listen to a mix of callers, including a parade of weirdos, a pregnant woman, her ex-boyfriend, an Amazonian transvestite looking for a dance partner and an ukulele-playing delivery boy.
